Senior Pastor

     If you see a silver Harley-Davidson parked in front of our church, that means the Coach is in! Joe Payne ("Coach Joe") has been our Pastor since January 1, 2001, when he came to us after pastoring for several years in Missouri.  An animated and lively communicator, Joe creatively finds ways to connect the teachings of the Bible to our daily lives in a relevant and compelling manner. He believes that God passionately seeks to be united with people, and that belief comes across not only in the content of his teachings but also in his engaging style.  He has been preaching since 1988, and was ordained on August 3, 1989, two days before his marriage to Melonie. Joe holds a Masters degree in Theology.

     On April 24, 1996, he and Melonie were blessed with the arrival of their first child, Moriah.  Their second child, Josiah, was born on October 18, 2001. In addition to serving the church in several capacities, Melonie is also a real estate agent with Watson's Realty. She is director of the Elementary Youth Group and also teaches in the Homebuilders class.

Associate Pastor

    Another 'Harley-riding preacher', Ellis Powell began serving as our Associate Pastor in 2005. Ellis serves by helping implement ministry plans that foster discipleship in our church, and also develops outreach and evangelism programs. His primary ministry passion and training is counseling, and he is available for counseling appointments by calling the church at (870)598-3621.

     Ellis has been involved in ministry for nearly thirty years, and in that time has helped plant four churches – two in Tennessee and two in California. In his most recent work he served as an Associate Pastor for 11 years at Grace Fellowship of Dixon, California.  He holds a B.A. degree with a major in Theology and a minor in Counseling. Ellis is active in our local Christian Motorcycling Association, and serves as the chapter's Chaplain.

     Ellis and Jackie have been married since 1984, and their vibrant personalities quickly endear them to others. Their enthusiasm for life and their passion for sharing Christ has made them a welcome addition to our grace community!

Secretary

     Tobey Burns has served as our Church secretary since January, 2003. Tobey is well-known throughout the Piggott area for her active service to our church and our community.  In addition to helping our church operate smoothly, Tobey is a teacher in our children's program. She and her husband Delane - who plays in our Church's praise and worship band - have two children, Chris and Brett.
